1. To fix reinforced-concrete area
- Use hammer to check the surface hardness. Remove any damaged or unsound areas. Scrape off any cor-roded reinforced steels.
- Apply on the steels 2 coats of anti-corrosion agent. Allow to dry for 1 hour.
- Fill in the areas with repair mortar in layers. Press firmly between each layers until cover all the open areas, and then smoothly finish the surfaces.
2. To fix edge and angle
- Cut a deep and straight recess at the corner. Remove any dust or loose particles.
- Fill in the recess with flexible cementitious mastic and then allow it to dry.
- Coat with repair mortar in a curve layer and then allow it to dry for 24 hours.
3. To fix cracking area
- If the depth of crack is less than 0.2 mm, apply on the crack a layer of weber.dry top flexible waterproofing mortar. Place fiberglass mesh to cover the area with 5 cm extension on both sides (as shown in the picture). Apply another layer of weber.dry top flexible waterproofing mortar on top.
- If the depth of crack is between 0.2 to 1 mm, widely open the crack about an area of 2 x 1 cm. Fill in with flexible cementitious mastic, allow drying and then covering with fiber-glass mesh. Coat on the area with flexible waterproofing mortar.
- If the depth of crack is between 1 to 2 cm, properly clean the area. Cover it with flexible waterproofing tape by the help of epoxy adhesive to fix it. It is not recommended to fill in the crack with any material. Cover the area with weber.dry tec.
4. Anchoring and embedding
- Cut a recess in the wall with the depth proportional to the anchor (as shown in the picture). The hole should be clean and blown free from dust.
- Pre-soak the area with clean water. Embed the anchor with repair mortar and leave it to dry for 24 hours.
- The same method can also be used with vertical anchoring.
5. Pipe embedding
- Drill a hole with diameter a bit bigger than the pipe.
- Cut a recess around the pipe with the dimension of 1 cm width and 4 cm depth. Remove any dust or loose particles and then embed the pipe.
- Fill in the recess with flexible cementitious mastic and cover it with repair mortar.
