Product Features

Key Benefits

  • To waterproof
    • Rooftops
    • Roof tiles
    • External walls
    • Before tiling
    • On existing tiles (Use weber.prim 2 as the primer before applying

                                weber.dry seal on existing tiles)

  • More than 75% solid content, providing
    • Excellent waterproofing property
    • High flexibility
  • UV resistant
  • Reflect sunlight, reduce temperature inside the house by 8%
    • *The test was conducted with housing model in laboratory by applying weber.dry seal, white color, on 4-side external walls and on top.

Technical performance

  • Density                     1.49 kg/dm3
  • Solid content             75 + 2%
  • Bond to concrete       1.69 N/mm2
  • Elongation                 > 600%
  • Crack bridging           > 2 mm
    • Remark: These test results are from laboratory test. They might be slightly different from on-site results because of the differences in applications and conditions.

Limit of use

  • Do not apply more than 2 mm in one coat.
  • Not suitable to be used on brickwork, porous concrete.
  • Not suitable to be used on weak or friable substrates, where the substrate is cracked.

Substrate preparation

  • Substrate should be clean, smooth, sound and free from adhesion diminishing residues like form oil and loose materials.
  • Make sure of no moisture in the substrate, testing by seal the area with A-4 size plastic sheet. Leave overnight, if vapor is visible leave the area until dry before starting the application of weber.dry seal.
  • The major deformations and holes on substrate should be properly repaired before the application of weber.dry seal. Substrate on rooftop should have proper slope to prevent water accumulation.
  • Use weber.dry seal mix with water at the ratio of 1:4 to be primer on cement-base substrates.
    • ** Special primers are needed for old and dusting substrates, old bitumen and metal substrates (please consult Weber for more details)**

  • weber.dry seal is ready to use, just stir well before using.
  • Do not mix the product with water or any foreign objects unless mixing with water to use as primer.

weber.dry seal is a versatile product which can be used for many applications.

1.) To waterproof flat roof, roof tiles, and external walls

  • Prime the area with appropriate primer.
  • Thin cracks, joints, corners and edges should be supported with fiber mesh or polyester felt after the first coat application.
  • Fibre mesh or polyester felt should be applied on the entire substrate on flat roofs after the first coat application.
  • It should be waited for 4 - 6 hours between the two-coat applications. After the first coat dries, the second coat should be vertically applied to the first coat. Total thickness should be 1 - 1.5 mm.
  • Recommend to use with weber.tape fibermesh 100 to waterproof floor with traffic. Embed weber.tape fibermesh 100 in 1st layer of weber.dry seal.
  • Leave dry and then apply 2nd layer of weber.dry seal until fiber mesh is not visible.

2) to fix leakage problem on joints esp. between wall and floor

  • Prime the area with appropriate primer
  • Apply the first coat of weber.dry seal on to the joint with at least 10 cm. width on each side.
  • Apply weber.tape BE14 onto the joint and ensure there is no bubble underneath.
  • Wait for 4 - 6 hours to let the first coat dries.
  • Apply the second coat.

3) to waterproof under tiling Prime the area with appropriate primer.

  • Prime the area with appropriate primer.
  • Stick weber.tape fibermesh 5 on any small joints or cracks before applying weber.dry seal.
  • Use weber.tape BE 14 in case of dilatation joints or cracks. Cracks and joints should be supported with fiber mesh or polyester felt.
  • weber.tape BE14 should be used in case of dilatation cracks or joints. Then apply the first coat on the entire area.
  • Wait for 4 - 6 hours to let the first coat dries. Apply the second coat vertically to the first coat with total thickness at 1 mm.
  • Leave the area for 48 hours before tiling.

4) use as reflective paint

  • Prime the area with appropriate primer
  • Apply only one coat of weber.dry seal on the entire area with the consumption around 400 - 500 g/m

Application property

  • Time to contact: 2 hours
  • Time between the coats: 4 - 6 hours
  • Drying time: 48 hours
  • Waiting time is 7 days in order to;
    • Be 100% waterproof
    • Gain mechanical resistant
    • Reach the final resistant
  • Thickness of application
    • 1 - 1.5 mm for waterproofing and fixing leakage problem
    • 0.5 - 1 mm for waterproof the area before tiling
    • 0.3 - 0.5 mm for using as reflective paint

  • To waterproof rooftops, roofs, o external walls, and left bare 1.5 - 2 kg/m2
  • To waterproof before tiling 1.0 kg/m2
  • To use as reflective paint 400 - 500 g/m2

  • 5 kg plastic bucket and 20 kg plastic bucket
